Report and Recommendations
Maine Task Force on Ethics 2000
Maine is one of the few states that does not base its code of professional responsibility upon the ABA Model Rules of Professional Responsibility. In February of 2005, a task force was created to study and reformulate Maine's professional responsibility rules so the rules would conform to the structure of the ABA Model Rules. The Task Force has completed its report and submitted its recommendations to the Maine Supreme Judicial Court.
