This matter came before the Board of Overseers of the Bar’s Fee Arbitration Commission upon the above-named Petitioner’s filing of both a Fee Arbitration Petition and a companion Lawyers’ Fund for Client Protection Claim. The now deceased attorney, Anthony P. Shusta, was a solo practitioner with a law office in Madison, Maine. The above-named Petitioner seeks reimbursement for unearned legal fees in the amount of $589.52. In an email to Board Special Counsel dated December 8, 2020. the Personal Representative for the late Attorney Shusta’s Estate, Trudy L. Shusta, stipulates to the unearned legal fee amount reflected in the Petitioner’s Petition for Fee Arbitration.

Pursuant to Maine Bar Rule 7(f) which states that "[a]n award may also be entered on consent of the parties," the above-named Petitioner is entitled to reimbursement or legal fees paid to, but not earned by, Attorney Shusta in the amount of $589.52. This Consent Award is in full settlement of all claims submitted to the Fee Arbitration Commission.
